Expressive apricot, tropical fruits, and floral hints with hazelnut aromas are pleasing with good intensity. In the mouth, the wine is medium bodied and shapely, crisp on the finish although cloying up front, balanced but at an off dry level, with oak influence apparent but not excessive.
Pair with spicy food with some richness such as curry.
Cono Sur is owned by the giant Concho Y Toro. This is crowd pleasing, big wine done well if you like a bit of oak influence. Recommended at this price.
The Jobim classic Agua de Beber was an instant match.
