  1. It depends on the dog and the nature of the biting. I once bit a chihuahua in the tail after it bit me in the neck. The chihuahua’s response? He was flummoxed to say the least. His expression was something to the effect “hey, man, I am a little chihuahua and I only bit you in the neck, but you are a full-grown adult male (he implied he knew I was a homo sapien) and you go for my bloody tail. That is not cool dude! I apologized with my a resigned look on my face (as if to say, “I thought you still worked for Taco Bell and had no idea you were laid off “). Sadly, this kind of near-human communication does not work with pit bulls and Irish wolfhounds.
