Excellent and thought provoking article Dwight! I suppose I’m in that tenuous spot between objective and subjective, with a tilt towards the latter, because when I describe something as beautiful, it’s usually because it has moved me in a very deep and personal way—almost to tears; not usually with wine, but certainly with paintings and sculpture, and even occasionally, and forgive me for saying it, the written word.
